Beau Soleil

Beau Soleil LogoFounded in 1910, Beau Soleil is one of the oldest Swiss establishments of worldwide renown, and is currently owned and run by the third successive generation of the same family. Our 185 boarding students, from 11 to 18 years old, representing over 40 nationalities, are provided with a well balanced education – intellectual, physical, emotional and social – in order to develop their sense of values and multiple intelligences and to show them the importance of personal effort and self-discipline. The three cornerstones of our education are: a balanced and personalised curriculum, a stable family community and an exceptional environment. With this in mind, students are constantly encouraged to embody the following strong values: “Act responsibly”, “Behave with respect”, “Aim high” and “Do your best.”

Our programme of studies is taught in French – French Baccalauréat (L, ES, S) – or in English – International Baccalaureate (IB) and High School Diploma. Students may also prepare for College examinations, Cambridge IGCSE, SAT, IELTS, TOEFL.

Summer Camps are organised in July for students from 7 to 16 years old. French or English language courses are offered at six different levels, from beginners to advanced with a maximum of ten students per class.

Beau Soleil is accredited by the Council of International Schools, the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and has been designated an IB World School by the International Baccalaureate Organisation. It is a member of the Swiss Group of International Schools, Round Square and Swiss Learning. Beau Soleil is also a member of the “Groupement des Ecoles Suisses préparant le Baccalauréat Français” and authorised by the Academy of Grenoble to offer the French Baccalaureate.
